OUR REGION

Emblem of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Southwestern Region.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is organized into five distinct regions: Central, Northwestern, Southeastern, Southwestern, and Western. We are part of the Southwestern Region, which currently comprises nearly 100 alumnae and undergraduate chapters, providing meaningful service throughout its four-state jurisdiction—Arkansas, Belize, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. The establishment of the Southwestern Region was authorized during the 14th Boule, held in New York City from December 27–30, 1939. In the months that followed, the region’s organizational structure was thoughtfully developed under the leadership of Soror Mary Scales Greenwood, Gamma Sigma Chapter, Houston, Texas.  To discover more about our region, click below.
